Limpeh's diving montage
Hi guys, I just thought I'd share my latest diving videos with you. I have began to accumulate quite a number of videos of my diving practice and I have made a little montage - some of these dives are better than others and there was an epic belly flop at 0:13 when I opened up for the entry way too early and yes I felt it on my chest, belly and thighs as I slapped quite hard on the water.
Diving is hugely satisfying for me - I had a tough day today at work, having to deal with difficult people and sometimes, when I am dealing with such people I feel quite helpless - especially if I have to resolve a situation with someone who just isn't being cooperative. But when I am at diving, it is just me, the diving board and the water. I feel like I am in control of the outcome because whether I do a good or bad dive is entirely up to me, I don't have to depend on anyone else - it's just me facing up the my fears and rising to the challenge. As you can see, the dives are far from perfect (will they ever be?) but for me, diving is a form of mediation. It is my little refuge from the real world, where i can shut out the rest of the world - it is my little mental oasis where I don't have to deal with anyone else: it's just me vs gravity.
What do you do to escape from the stress at work? What works for you? I recommend diving.
