Why do some people find it easier than others to change their accents?

Hello guys. I've uploaded my latest vlog post about changing and adapting one's accents onto Youtube yesterday but something strange has happened. When I tried to play the video on my (admittedly rather old) Toshiba laptop, the sound quality was awful and I thought I had done something wrong with the settings. But when I played it on a MacBook Air, the sound was perfectly clear. I have tried playing other Youtube videos on my laptop and the sound quality has been pretty respectable, so it can't be that there's something wrong with my speakers here? I am really puzzled and am wondering what is going on here?! Anyway, could you guys try to play it on whatever device you're on and let me know if the sound quality is okay (and also what device you're using) please. Many thanks for your help!

    You could perform a few quick checks to see if it is a audio driver/hardware problem or it might be a problem simply with the youtube buffering.

    Check for buffering:
    Youtube provides different quality encoding automatically based off the analyzing of your current browsing speed.
    1) At that particular point in time, you might be streaming a lossy encoded version of the video. You might want to clear your browsing cache and try the playback again.
    2) At that particular point in time, there is a shift in network speeds which resulted in a change in quality selection by Youtube automatically that triggers a re-buffering of the video.

    Check for audio:
    Which model of Toshiba notebook were you using? Is it possible to identify if it is only under a few frequency ranges of audio in which the quality is breaking?

      I don't think it is a hardware problem as I have played other Youtube videos on this laptop and they stream fine, no problem with the sound quality. And both the MacBook Air and my Toshiba laptop were both using the same Wifi network in my building (which is usually v fast), so it couldn't have been a question of slow internet connection? But yes, I will clear my browsing cache.

      Erm, I am terrible with computers. It is a Toshiba Satellite Pro? It is a very old model. Thanks again, domo-arigato.
