My latest travel writing piece on Alvinology

Hi guys, my latest travel writing piece is up on Alvinology - please click here and have a read of it! It is an extension of a piece I had written some time ago on the same theme, but as I had been watching plenty of Amazing Race episodes of late (Australia vs NZ, Canada and hey, US season 25 premieres at the end of this month), I am reminded of how these dumb contestants often raise their voices and shout at their taxi drivers; and I'm like dude, your Vietnamese taxi driver isn't deaf, just doesn't speak any English - shouting at him like that isn't going to change anything! So I have devised some rather unusual and helpful strategies to help you out in such situations when words fail you and you get lost in translation. I hope you like that article and use some of my ideas the next time you go traveling!

Now that Alvin of Alvinology is back in Singapore (he had been working abroad), I am going to hopefully be able to do a lot more travel writing for him. We have been talking about some possible ideas and it all sounds very exciting indeed - he just needs a couple of days to recover and catch up with business back in Singapore and I am off to Tunisia this Wednesday (3rd September) for a week, so nothing is going to be decided in the near future, but otherwise yes, do watch this space for further developments. I love travel writing and am so glad to find an outlet for my travel writing on Alvinology, for which I am most grateful. So as always, do let me know what you think about it, many thanks for reading.
