LIFT Vlog episode 4: The Alvivi Bak Kut Teh Saga
OK people, here we go, a rather rambling vlog post shot in Singapore and Malaysia about the Bak Kut Teh incident. I will do a proper blog piece on it soon, reflecting the opinion of my Malaysian friends, but for now, I hope you will enjoy this vlog piece.
No lah I hate traveling alone, but I don't like to make it like all about me me me me me on my blog here as I want to talk about Alvin tan rather than talk about my holiday in Malaysia lah. Yeah so that is a journalistic choice I have made as I do talk about the more personal or mundane stuff about my holidays on Facebook and blogger is different. I am off to Indonesia on Sunday and no I am not traveling alone either.
If I may make a further point please. My friends on Facebook do know me and are interested in what I do on holiday, but my blog readers are probably more interested in the topic, in this case, Alvin Tan, rather than my holidays or what I did or ate along the way in Melaka. So it would feel wrong to make this too much about me when the readers and viewers want to know about alvin and not me. I have uploaded loads of pics etc onto Facebook, which is different as my friends there are interested in me in a different way.
Well I am in bali at the moment and actually in contrast I am liking malaysia a lot more than indonesia, I can't tell you just how much I dislike indonesia - mostly because of things going wrong whilst on holiday or the waitress accidentally adding 3000 rps to the bill hoping you wouldn't notice or would just treat it as her tip as the amount is small - maybe it is a culture shock and I am terribly unfamiliar with indonesia but I am looking forward to returning to singapore on friday!
Just curious, didn't you go alone to Malaysia? Who is that filming you in Melaka?
