What the Sengkang bus 159 accident reveals

OK those of you in Singapore would've seen the report on the Sengkang bus accident when an elderly woman was tragically killed after she got ran over by a bus. Goodness me, some of you may have even seen the grainy video footage of the accident after it was posted on Facebook by TheOnlineCitizen. It's a rather distasteful video (however grainy) so I cannot repost it here.

It is desperately sad when anything like that happens, but what took me by surprise was the amount of anger from Singaporean netizens in social media. First, they were asking about the driver's nationality: is he a PRC (ie. from China)? There was a part of me that said, "oh please don't let it be a PRC or all hell will break loose." I am very pissed off by the fact that there is an unspoken Singaporean media black out on the nationality and identity of the driver. And thankfully, Blogger is telling me some of the traffic coming to this page are by Singaporeans googling "Sengkang SBS accident" - so let Limpeh tell you that the fucking driver is a chao Ah Tiong, he is a PRC, he is one of those foreign talent that your wonderful PAP government has imported from China. Now you know, please go and tell your other Singaporean friends that this poor woman was murdered by a fucking PRC.

Fuck SBS, fuck you smelly PRCs, fuck the MDA, fuck the PAP and most of all, fuck you motherfuckers who voted for them, yes I'm talking about you the 60.14% who voted for them at the last election. At times like this, I am so glad I emigrated to the UK. I don't want to live in a Singapore infested by fucking PRCs. If that makes me racist, tough shit, Limpeh is Chinese too but Limpeh fucking hates PRCs and Limpeh shares your anger my Singaporean friends. You know, when I first posted this article 24 hours ago I was appealing for calm in light of the anti-PRC comments on social media - but now I'm like - fuck it, I am just as angry as everyone else, I'm not going to calm down.

What followed was a Tsunami of anti-PRC hatred on Singaporean social media - hold on a second people, please. OK before I get carried away, may I simply ask my readers to remain calm in the light of recent events and remember one thing: who let in the PRCs in the first place? Should you blame the PRCs or should you blame the gatekeepers who said to the PRCs, "请来! 我们欢迎你来新加坡!"

So before you complain about PRC bus drivers mowing down Singaporeans, please spend a moment pondering about the fact that you voted for them to come to this country in the first place. Don't blame the PRCs, you have to shoulder part of the responsibility yourself if you have ever voted for the PAP. Sorry if that sounds unsympathetic under these terribly tragic circumstances, but if you have ever voted for the PAP, then you have the blood of this 66 year old woman on your hands. Allow me to quote this guy "hatemoron" from Stomp:

"YOU MORONS SINGAPOREANS HAVE ANOTHER 4 YEARS TO REPENT! WHO ASK YOU ALL TO VOTE FOR PAY AND PAY! DUMB ASS MORONS! NOW THEN KPKB OR COMPLAIN IS USELESS LAH!  THANKS TO THE STUPID MORONS AKA 60.1% WHO HAVE VOTED FOR PAY AND PAY TO MAKE WRONG DECISIONS WHICH CAUSED SO MANY STUPID SPOREANS MISERY NOW! "

Not the most eloquent choice of words but in essence, we're saying the same thing. You Singaporeans have only yourselves to blame.

A year ago, I hit a PRC old man at a traffic light. I had just turned out of a HDB carpark and was driving very slowly and I saw a old man cycling along the side pathway and then suddenly he turned onto the road at traffic light crossing. The traffic light was green in my favour and I hit his front wheel. It was a very light hit with hardly any damaoge to the bike wheel. The old man fell dramatically to the floor and started groaning in pain and refused to get up. In a instance his daughter and son-in-law appeared and created a big scene and demanded I pay damages to him and for his bike. I do not speak Mandarin and offered to bring him to a nearby clinic in my car but they refused. They wanted money and showed me 1 finger. Thinking its $100 I offered it but realised upon their refusal that they wanted $1000. Luckily a Chinese Singaporean came to my rescue and told them that I was going to call the ambulance and police. The become afraid and agreed to take the $100 but the Singaporeans told them no way. They left in a hurry when they saw a police car approaching. They sure were the kind of talent we need in Singapore
