Moving on: the next chapter for me on social media

Hi there guys, I have an important announcement to make. I am going to start a podcast soon! The key reason for this decision is that reading blogs has fallen out of fashion, many people prefer podcasts than actually reading a lengthy piece. The number of hits I have been getting for my blog has fallen steadily over the last ten years and it's definitely time to innovate. Whilst I really enjoy writing, I still need to write the piece used for the podcasts - there are additional steps of course like performing it and dealing with the tech side of it. I am articulate, I like performing and this will be an experiment. It is good to try new things and right now, I'm in the process of listening to a lot of different podcasts to try to find the winning formula about what works, what I like from the perspective of a listener and the pitfalls to avoid. I will still post here on my blog but it will be shorter pieces in the future as I still want to keep this blog going after all these years - think of it as me simply getting on yet another social media platform. The general theme that I want to pursue for my podcasts is along the lines of self-help, but more like, "I'm 48, this is an important lesson that I have learnt, I'm sharing the pearls of wisdom with you so you can share the wisdom and knowledge without having to go through all the crap that I went through to learn this the hard way." So this is when I am asking you for your help, please tell me if you like to listen to podcasts, what kind of podcasts you listen to, the typical length of the podcasts you listen to, which podcasters you like the most and which topics you think I should cover in my podcasts. Thank you very much for your continued support.

  1. What an exciting news! The range of podcasts I am currently listening are "the diary of a ceo", "high performance", Trevor noah's "what now?" "Abroad in Japan", and "Ya lah But" podcast.

    Looking forward to yours!
