Happy birthday to me!

Hi guys, how are you? I am back from my holidays and there's just so much waiting for me to do upon my return. I visited four countries - Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Having said that, I did spend most of my time in the St Anton area (including Stuben, Alpe Rauz, Zurs, Lech and Sonnerkopf) skiing. I have only just returned today and spent most of my 37th birthday on a bus from St Anton to Friedrichschafen then at the airport for the delayed flight. Then it was the journey home from Gatwick Airport - not fun - only to get home to a home with no food. Then it was a trip to the supermarket, all that - and I still haven't unpacked. Good grief.

The only thing that is keeping me going is listening to Psy's Gentleman non-stop on a loop. I have said this before and I'll say it again: I was into K-pop way before Gangnam Style came along! I'm happy to be 37 - at this stage, I really don't care how old I am in years, it's how well I am doing. At 37, I am actually weigh less today than I did at 27 - go figure. I'll just leave you with a bitchy thought (yes I am going to be bitchy about someone you don't know).
I stayed at a chalet whilst skiing in Austria - this is how it works, you get your own room like a hotel but it is in a small house rather than a purpose built hotel. So when you have breakfast, you sit around the table with the other guests of the chalet and it is fairly intimate as there is only one table. This is quite unlike a hotel breakfast scenario where you sit at your own table and avoid eye contact with the others on the other tables. So there's this English guy in my chalet - let's call him Dwapui (that's Hokkien for 'big fatty'). He was fat, like really fat. But hey, I made polite conversation with him and his holiday companion whom we will call Chaotah (that's Hokkien for 'burnt' for he was very sunburnt). They were friendly enough but in a guarded formal way.

So one morning, I ran into Dwapui and Chaotah at the ski lift and I thought, oh what a coincidence, let's ski together. Within 2 minutes, it was evident that Dwapui was not a confident skier and my first thought was, "he needs lessons". Then it turned into, "this is getting slapstick," then when he fell over for like the fifth time, I thought, "I'm getting bored, would it be rude to abandon them?" That was when Chaotah turned to me and politely said, "I think you should just go ahead without us." Here's the punchline: Dwapui is 24 years old. That's 13 years younger than me. So there you go, it doesn't matter how old you are - it is how good you look and how fit your body is.

Time for dinner, I have photos and videos to share from this trip!
