LIFT Vlog Episode 88: Skiing in the Pyrenees

Hi guys, here's my latest vlog episode from my trip to France. I know it has taken a while, sorry work has just been busy and I had other things to do on the weekend. But I have managed to find the time to sit down this weekend and complete this one, there will be one more coming up soon. I hope you'll like it, many thanks for reading & watching!

  1. How do you manage to film and ski at the same time? Don't look like you are using a gopro.

    1. Not easy - I was literally holding both my ski poles in one hand and my phone in the other. I could've used a selfie stick but I forgot to pack my selfie stick with me on this trip! And yeah it got cold, because I had to take my glove off to make sure I had a good grip on my phone as I didn't wanna drop it whilst filming.

    2. I know it is not to ski even at slow speeds its like trying not to fall down when your skis keep trying to slide out from you. Maybe you should invest in a gopro so you can film those action shots in the future.

    3. Hmmmm. Actually, there are already like millions of Youtube videos made by people with gopros flying down ski slopes, nothing new. All I need is a long selfie stick to film myself, it's more like "whoopee, look at me in the bing tian xue di winter wonderland!" I only film like that when going down a v gentle slope, so I don't know won't pwatoh!

  2. Hi LIFT, I'm back from my trip to Tunisia, and I must say it was absolutely amazing and I'm so glad I went despite the apprehension about the general safety and about being at times a solo female traveller. One aspect I think you mentioned in your Tunisia travel blogs was how at the time of your post, Tunisia wasn't overrun by Chinese tourists the way so many major tourist destinations are. Sorry to say, I don't think that's going to be true much longer. At every major sight in Tunis and Carthage I noticed at least one busload of Chinese tourists. My hotel was overrun with them (to the point where the staff at the breakfast dining hall kept trying to shoo me to the "correct" seating area with the rest of the Chinese tour groups), and according to a local I talked to in Tozeur, the Chinese have been a great boon to tourism there as tourist numbers from Europe have dwindled. Ah well. It was inevitable I suppose.
