LIFT Vlog Episode 85: Say No To Trump

Hi guys, I thought I'd rush out a quick video on the protests in London on the protests in Whitehall, London on the 30th January 2017 (Monday) and thought I'd share with you what I saw. This protest was organized in response to Trump's new immigration crackdown. Decent people cannot just stand by and silently condone what is happening in America today, especially when our PM May is cosying up to Trump. For those of you who have never been to a protest before, well, here's a chance for you to soak in the atmosphere. My regular readers of my blog will know exactly how I feel about Trump. Well, here's a video to show you that I am not alone in the way I feel. Many thanks for watching.

  1. We gotta say NO to Trump, so that we can say YES to basic respect for people. Let's see if he lasts 2 years without being impeached or touch wood, shot at.

    1. Well, let's see if he manages to make life better for his supporters who expect more than just anti-Muslim, anti-immigrants rhetoric, they wanna see a real rise in their living standards and solutions to their problems. If he can't replace Obamacare with something better, then he's in trouble with these people. They're not going to write him a blank cheque.

    2. It will take a miracle for him to succeed at anything. The democrats can't compromise with him if hes still doing the racist rhetoric - they can't damage their brand. Which means they gonna sandbag him all the way. For the man who claims to know the Art of the Deal, He's not dealing. He's demanding. Just hope he doesn't mess things up over here in SEA. After all Singapore has profitted by leveraging off America.

    3. When the political system is in a mess due to Republicans-Democrats infighting, Trump is going to turn to petty battles (ref: Ivanka's clothing line) and in the meantime, no one is going to do anything about issues like unemployment, healthcare and other basic needs - things are going to go wrong at some point soon and my American friends are seriously nervous.

  2. holy shit Things are gonna get real in US and other countries. Anyway, I just read your 'Section 377A and the 'island mentality' blog it was great. And also is it true that Singaporean think they live in the best country. I mean we have internet. so we have no problem searching for information in other countries. But we still have a lot of Singaporeans that don't know about the world.(most of them)
