Hi guys, I thought I'd post a photo just to say hello as I have not had the time to blog much since I am spending Christmas with my partner's family - it has been one helluva road trip thus far: Dublin, Carrick, then up to Enniskillen, Belfast, over the ferry to Scotland and I have made it as far as Glasgow today. Given that this is December in the north of Europe, I've not actually had ideal conditions to film much for my vlog. I saw Belfast in the dark (not great for filming) and again, I saw Glasgow by night. I did get some great footage in Dublin and rural Ireland though, so look out for that on my vlog soon. The weather has been disappointing - around 8 degrees and a lot of rain, but at least I had my fix of snow when I was in Slovakia (and I am currently uploading my vlog piece from Slovakia).
This photo was taken in the small town of Kirkcudbright - and yes this is a little alley where people had to walk down to access their houses, it represented a totally different side of life in the UK, a far cry from London where I live. Property is about 1/6th the cost of London here in rural Scotland, man I could have bought a mansion with plenty of land if I moved out there (instead of expensive London where I had just bought my new home). With the afternoon sun shining in, I loved the effect it had on this photo. I hope you like it too. Many thanks for reading.
I love the bike against the wall and the stone path way. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI am glad you like the picture :)
DeleteAlex, Di, joyeux noel and lots of love and relaxation for the Yuletide holidays.
DeleteThanks,Shane. Have a blessed Christmas with your family. Alex, hope you are having a great Christmas with your extended family. Safe journey home. Next year is exciting for you because you are moving. Can't wait to see the pictures.
DeleteOooh Di, long story, but we have a family member in a hospital 2.5 hours drive away and we're doing a lot of 300 km round-trip drives to visit him. It has been a tiring period, spending a lot of time on the road.
DeleteBe extra careful on the roads. With or without snow, winter driving is not the most ideal.
