LIFT Vlog Episode 25: Swedish Islands Adventure

Hi everyone! In this vlog episode, I am taking you on a boat trip around the Southern Archipelago of Göteborg (Gothenburg in English) - there are two clusters of islands on the Western coast of Göteborg. The southern islands are a little bit closer and are well served by the Göteborg public transport system. I paid 80 SKR (about £7.17, S$15, US$12) for a one day travelcard which allowed me 24 hours unlimited access on the Göteborg public transport system which included all trams, trains, buses and ferries - thus I could jump from one ferry to another without buying another ticket on this trip. Take the tram 11 to Salthomen station and that's where the main ferry terminal is for boats serving the Southern Islands - it is really straight forward and easy to get there.
It is really tourist friendly - the staff on the ferry system all speak English fluently (well this is Sweden) and the ferries all ran on time, to the minute with no delays. Try to get hold of a ferry time table in advanced (either online or from the Tourist Information office) so as to plan your trip. These ferries run all year, from early in the morning till late at night. It was lovely doing this on a nice summer's day as the days are so long in the month of June in Sweden. Look out for my next vlog on Göteborg city soon, this was a bit shorter and easier to edit so I brought this video out first. Thanks for watching, I hope you like this video, akan datang part 2 will be on the way soon!
