Q: Background music on the vlog pieces?
OK guys, may I get some feedback please now that I've reached episode 7 on my vlog. I have had a viewer complain to me (in a nice way) that the background music is annoying and he told me to get rid of it. However, the many vlogs that I do follow on Youtube do use background music - it is usually rather soft but it is just there, because without it, it seems a bit too quiet. This viewer did tell me that there are other vloggers who do not use background music, so I am somewhat conflicted here. I'm simply copying those Youtubers who have generated millions of views and just doing what they do - I'm not reinventing the wheel when it comes to using a formula that works.
So what do you think? Please watch these Youtube vlog pieces which do have background music and let me know if you think that I should have background music. Would it be too quiet without it? Yes the background is abit annoying considering its a thumping beat. Maybe because most of the vlogs I follow don't use any backgrounds only sound effects so I would prefer those without. Example like

Or maybe just have more soothing background music.

DeleteI think some background music is good. If it is going to have a beat, then maybe the volume should be lower.
