A trip to the Welsh Countryside

I just realized that I haven't done a proper post to show you the photos from my trip to Wales last month, so here it is. As you can imagine, I just kept snapping with my phone, so here is just a small selection to give you a taste of what rural Northern Wales is like. We're talking proper rural here - the biggest town there is Bangor with a population of about 15,000 and most of the other towns I visited were a lot smaller. Since I live in London, it was nice to get away from the big city and escape to the tranquillity of the countryside. Yes as you can see, castles are a major theme here but such is North Wales for you. Remember you can always double click on the photos if you wish to see them in greater detail. I hope you like the photos :)

  1. Oh I like the pics of that castle.Tell me more about it. Wales, the place where you get woken up at 10 in the morning and asked to go out and get a pint. Sorry, I was stereotyping.

    1. There are in fact 3 different castles in the photos - Biwmares, Caernafon and Conwy and they got a bit jumbled up in the order as I uploaded them. But I didn't wanna do like a long post on my trip there, I just wanted to give my S'porean readers a general feel of Wales via the photos since many visitors to the UK rarely make it out of London.

You'll be amazed though, they are such morning people. It's like "breakfast is from 6:30 to 9 am, please don't turn up after 9 am as you won't be served" - yikes! So no waking up at 10 am I'm afraid.
