Limpeh dengan Encik Kachang (iklan baru!)

Hi everyone. The ads that I have done with Snickers have finally been officially released on the internet today and finally I can talk about them now that they're all on Youtube. Yes I worked with Mr Bean and I have been immortalized in a number of Mr Bean skits that are now on the internet - that is quite incredible considering how I started watching Mr Bean all those years ago back in the 1990s. I remember how funny it was - I particularly remember watching it in a dining hall, whilst at a competition gymnastics at Kebangssan University Malaysia way back in 1995 when there were gymnasts and coaches from all these different countries: from Saudi Arabia to Vietnam to New Zealand to Hong Kong, along with all these Makciks and Pakciks (older ladies and gents) who worked at the university, all watching Mr Bean and how his brand of comedy cut across all linguistic and cultural barriers amongst us and we were all laughing so hard. I would have never dreamt that all these years later, I would have the honour of using my gymnastics skills to work with the legendary Mr Bean himself! This is what I became an actor for - to work with legends like that. I hope you will like these skits.
Ooh look whom I am standing next to?

    1. Yes actually, he signed my DVD of Mr Bean the movie - but it was literally, just his signature and I found out that you can easily buy his autograph off the internet (you can buy anyone's autograph off the internet). A photo with him, now that's what you want - but to be in a Mr Bean skit with him, that's priceless :)

    3. No lah. I didn't want to impose on him, we had taken a group picture, I had an individual and then I took out the DVD after all that - I didn't want to be demanding and ask for more. A few of the others also got him to sign various things and none of us got a personal message. Rowan Atkinson was polite but... formal I suppose, he wasn't exactly friendly. That is not to say that he is 'unfriendly' - just rather businesslike in his approach to the work. Like we're all here to do a job, we're all here to act today, so let's focus on what we have to do.

And despite the fact that I know a lot about him (after having watched him in so many things over the years), I have to appreciate the fact that I was just an actor that he's worked with for a few days lah, so I cannot expect to have that kind of rapport or camaraderie with him. Hence it is very polite, formal and businesslike on set - and that's pretty much my experience with all the major celebrities I've worked with.

    4. Ah I see,

Who are the other major celebrities that you have worked with?

    5. Oooh Ian, I have been here before and answered an innocent question like that a few years ago on a forum and it led to some pretty horrendous hate mail. You won't believe what happened after I answered a similar question - all these haters started accusing me of lying, of photoshopping my photo alongside these famous celebrities (hey it has been done before, remember Jonal Chong http://blog.omy.sg/alvinology/tag/singapore-most-famous-hairdresser/ who photoshopped himself next to Nicole Kidman)?

The fact is, I think that blowing my own trumpet is a bit... in bad taste lah. I had been approached by another Singaporean blogger who wanted to interview me about the time I worked with Mr Bean and I actually declined him, saying that I don't court publicity. I let me work speak for itself but I am not desperate for publicity like that because I don't want any haters to focus their hate on me.

I do talk about the famous people I've worked with on Facebook, but that's with my friends - but to boast about it on my blog... probably not a good idea lah.
